Dermarolling / Microneedling / Re: Results: Improvements 50 to 70%

I have noticed in the last few months that one of the keys in preventative maintanence, and keeping crows feet looking good after you have achieved desired results is to continue to do tape suction meathod on this(any) area every night.

I would like to add that I found it easier and less painful to use a 0.5 stamp instead of  a roller around my eyes.

I have had success with dermastamping the vertical lines above my lips with a 1.5 dermastamp.

It may seem "too good to be true", but I am getting results.  I wrote that forum post in a big hurry, and realized that I left out that lines above my upper lip have decreased enormously.   I have a bad, nervous habbit of biting my lip since I was a girl, which gives me the equivlent of "smokers lines" and I was pretty upset that I did that to myself.  I use a stamp of anywhere from 1.5-2.0 as you say "just experiment" so that is what I do.  I saw all the results that Dr. Fernandes got on the "above the lips" recently and that encourages me to keep going.

One more thing.  Dr Fernandes also reported in one of his interviews on youtube that most of his client's prime results happened at the 18 month mark(on average).  Slow and steady wins the race of dermarolling/microneedling and collagen production.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Results: Improvements 50 to 70%

Hi everyone and Sarah,

I have been using vaughter wellness products for a year now and I wanted to give you an update on my results.  I am sorry Sarah, but at this point I have not pictures to post :'(  I do however have results  :D

I started out using the 1.5 on my face for fine lines, crepeyness, and scarring from a round of accutane tx about 20 years ago.  Then about 6 months ago I started using 0.5-1.0 on the back of my hands, and only recently started to us a 1.5 on my chest and arms.  I also later added tape suction to my forehead, 11s, crows feet, and acne scars on my cheeks every night(scotch tape).

The majortiy of sun damage that was on the back of my hands is gone.  It's funny because the back of my hand no longer has sun damage, but my arms and chest do which looks backwords because my hands spend he most time in the sun.  These results have inspired me to roll my chest and arms.

The scars on my face are what is most improved on my face. Probably by 50 or 60%.  Sun damage has decresed by about 70% dark spots almost gone.  fine lines have decrease alot along with forehead lines and 11s and alot of skin tightening.  I am hoping to see a little more tightening to see the NLF decrease a little more, as I have see a little improvment in the last few months.  I would like to touch up that area with a little filler in the summer.  Crepeyness(sp?) aroung the eyes has decreased alot largley due to Ifadolan and I use a .5 as close as I can around my eyes, but within safe range of my eyelids.

Crows feet are softeded quite a bit especially when my face is at rest, but they still continue to show when I smile.  I tried botox in that area to compliment the rolling and it left bags under my eyes so its all about rolling for that area too.  Crows feed are def improved by about 50 %.  Again, I will continue for the next 6 mos to roll(and for the rest of my life  ;)  and then maybe try a little filler in the crows feet area.  We'll see.

I am very happy with the continued improvement of my skin as it is becoming thicker and has more elastisity.

At the 6 month mark I always used retin 0.1% imediately after I rolled.  I understand this stings for some people, but it hasn't been an issue for me.  I think this had been especially helpful with decreasing my forhead lines and 11s along with the tape at night.

I have used:
single needle
vit c
Ifadolan
 a-ret (all three)
several sizes of dermarollers from vaughter wellness
sun screan 30-50 on face and hands.

I am sure I am forgetting something.  I will try to find a good before picture if possible.

My mother-in-law was so impressed with the results  on my hands that she purchased two rollers and all the dermarolling things that you need from Vaughter.  I had to replenish a few things from Vaughter wellness and we ordered everthing together and split the shipping.

That is it for now :D It's good news

Soon mentioned that she had success with her 11's(between the eye brows) after 6 months or more of single needling them.  I started yesterday with:

   -somewhat agressive single needling.

   -.05% a-ret/

-followed all protocal for after care as directed by Vaughter Wellness.

-added tape suctioning at night to experiment.

I also did a regular full face needling with a 1.5mm.  I just wanted to document the time I started here on the forum and see how it goes.  I am not sure when I will update again, but I will keep you posted.

Sarah,

No, I like to roll wth the 0.5mm roller each week as I have a very high quality roller I purchased from Vaughter Wellness.  I just wasn't sure if dry brushing every day and weekly rolling with the 0.5mm roller was overkilll or counterproductive. I am glad to do both.

Thank you, again!

Hi Sarah,

I am finding that I prefer to go longer between rolls then 4 weeks when using a 1.5mm roller.  Instead, I am waiting 6 weeks as it just works out better for my lifestyle(i was formerly going 4 weeks and recently switched to 6).  I also like the way my skin finally looks after I hit the 4th week and enjoy  the extra two weeks not having to roll.

What do you think can be the longest time I can go between rolls with a 1.5 and still get good long term cumulative effects?  Would I be better off using a 2.0 mm every 6-8 weeks?  I have been dermarolling about 4-5 months or so and continually using vitc, copper peptides, infa., and a-ret.  I also started dry brushing a little each day before I wash my face and apply the daily/weekly regiment to my face.

Lastly, because I am dry brushing, do I need to continue to do the .5mm 1-2x week?

Thanks,

Lisa Brookank

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Vitamin C caused a burn :(
« on: March 04, 2012, 02:43:57 PM »
I burned my face around my eyes once with vit c at christmas time.  It took about a week to heal completely but left no perm damage in my case.  I was nervous at first, but was glad that my thin skin healed well.  This was my experience.

Soon,

What  is the difference between suctioning wiht medical tape and suctioning with say, a microderm machine?  Did you research different ways to suction before you chose medical tape technique?  Also, when you single needle your 11s do you go straight into the wrinkle or do you needle on an angle?

Dermarolling / Microneedling / 14 month update - skin keeps getting better

Soon,

Did you use single needling or just a dermaroller on your 11s?
