Dermarolling / Microneedling / Re: Dermaroller for melasma

Thanks for your quick response!

The dermastamp seems like a better option for that area...

Just to clarify, I would put my skin lightening product on the day after dermastamping and only apply the infadolan and vit. c serum immediately after??

Thanks!

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Dermaroller for melasma
« on: February 02, 2013, 08:03:13 PM »
Hello!

I am educating myself a bit about the dermaroller before I give it a try, particularly because I have dermal melasma of my upper lip and I worry about exacerbating the problem!

Anywho - I wear sunblock containing zinc daily ; however, I've noticed in the forums that zinc is not good for skin that has been needled.  I honestly cannot go out in the sun (even on a cloudy day) without using sunblock containing zinc... Will I damage my skin if I use the dermaroller and continue to use zinc?

Also , I still feel a little unclear in terms of what one should (or should not) put on the skin immediately following a dermaroll treatment.... I'm sure it has been addressed many times so can someone please clarify, or link me to discussions in the forum that might explain.

Finally - How exactly would I go about treating my upper lip?? It's such a narrow space and I'm not sure how I could roll it properly.

Thanks so much!! I know anyone else who suffers from melasma understands how frustrating it can be and how self conscious it can make you feel!

Thanks!!
