Dermarolling / Microneedling / dermaroller for stretch marks?!
« on: October 17, 2011, 05:16:12 AM »
>So i should do the vitamin c right after a shower and a few days leading up to the roll?? everyday up to the roll ?

You do not have to do it right after the shower but if you do, it will enhance its penetration.

An application every second or third day is sufficient but apply it for three consecutive days prior to dermarolling to attain maximum levels for the rolling day.

>and then after the roll i will apply infadolan for how many days?

You should roll the stretch marks very densely. Keeping the rolled area occluded with Infadolan proved very successful in the treatment of stretch marks. Infadolan is greasy - you can cover the skin with food wrap foil or a white paper tissue after applying Infadolan to prevent your clothes from getting greasy. Use the Infadolan for at least a week.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation
« on: October 16, 2011, 06:46:25 AM »
A dermaroller speeds up the diminishing of the pigmentation by speeding up the skin turnover. However it depends how deep your burn is..

The deeper it is, the longer it will take to disappear.

If your burn is relatively small, buy a 1.5 mm dermastamp or the single needles, not a dermaroller.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / dermaroller for stretch marks?!

>So i can only roll with the single-line every 3-4 weeks but i can also use the derma roller a few days after single -lineing?? also do i apply the ret a gel like 30 mins after rolling?? and everyday after or the odd days?

My recommendations concerning the use of the one liner dermaroller for stretch marks can be read here on its sales page:

https://http://shop.owndoc.com/p-181/oneliner15.html

> Should i also buy the infa.. gel also? its quite expensive so im only going to buy one for now..

Infadolan is very suitable for dermarolling aftercare:

https://http://forums.owndoc.com/dermarolling-microneedling/Questions-about-your-vit-A-D-ointment-Infadolan

You can also use something similar, if you can source it cheaper locally. Make sure to keep the rolled area moisturized.

>also i get red bumbs all over my butt when i derma roll... sometimes other places also it might be because sometimes bio oil hits the spots i did im not sure??

It is difficult to say what causes this. You could stop using bio oil for a while and see what happens.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / dermaroller for stretch marks?!

We have updated our instructions just now to include guidelines for the one-liner. They are to be considered "ordniary" rollers for rolling frequency purposes.

We sell A-Ret cream (dropshipped from India) but not to all countries (listed on our sales page for it),

Dermarolling / Microneedling / dermaroller for stretch marks?!

For stubborn stretch marks, I recommend applying the A-Ret gel (it contains Retinoic Acid = Tretinoin) right after dermarolling. It will sting.  On top of that, apply something oily to keep the area moisturized - oil prevents evaporation of water from the skin.

If you do not achieve significant improvement with a regular roller, consider buying "tools" for more intensive treatment -  a one liner dermaroller (if you have very many stretch marks) or the single needles. Yes you can roll smaller stretch marks as well with the one-liner.

We consider White Lotus Antiaging to be company of questionable ethics and their skin serums to be expensive and unproven.

More about White Lotus' unethical marketing practices here:

https://http://www.owndoc.com/dermarolling/white-lotus-breast-enhancement-scam/

We recently got an email from White Lotus, threatening to sue us if we would not tone down our criticism of them, but they failed to explain how dermarolling could enhance breast size, or the issues addressed in that article of ours.

Long-term dermarolling strenghtens and thickens the skin because of collagen and elastin induction. Thicker skin is more difficult to pierce. The plumpness is normal and it makes the skin look better.

Unfortunately not everybody achieves thickening of the skin by dermarolling.

The skin can become more sensitive due to angiogenesis (creation of new blood vessels) and a more denser network of nerve endings.

You do not need a one liner dermaroller.  It is for those who have many stretch marks or with stretch marks in areas that are difficult to reach with the single needles. In your case, buy only the single needles or a 1.5 mm dermaroller and the single needles. Roll the area with the roller every four weeks and needle it. You can needle it right after dermarolling or a day or so later.

You do not have to pre-treat with Infadolan.  You do not need a roller longer than 1.5 mm.

1358
Do not worry, the stains will disappear. They most likely result from the acidic components of the creams or from alcohols but it is difficult to judge, it can also be some other ingredient. The problem is that when you use acids or other potential irritants on open skin, their capacity to cause problems is amplified a hundred fold due to the open skin after rolling.  It is always good to do a test patch first. I once experienced the same when I applied the A-Ret gel to my entire face right after rolling with a 0.2 mm dermaroller. I experienced stinging pain for many hours and reddish spots afterwards. The spots completely disappeared.  I do not recommend applying the A-Ret gel right after dermarolling but I do recommend it after needling of localized areas-such as individual stubborn stretch marks or scars, including acne scars.

Your experience shows the power of dermarolling - it highly increases the absorption of anything applied right after dermarolling.

1359
In your case, you do not need the vit. C and the A-Ret preparation. It is just a very small scar. The preparation is needed for acne scars or stretch marks. Buy the single needles and the disinfectant.

1360
I would recommend you to wait for 3 months (the wound may heal without a scar).  If there is a scar after 3 months, needle it with the single needle.

The single needle is very suitable for this kind of scars. You do not need a dermaroller or a dermastamp. Do not needle the scar densely - first you have to find out how the scared skin will react to needling. If it heals well, you can needle it more densely.

Yes I have read about vit. E not being effective in speeding up wound healing.

Rolling with a 1.5 mm is painful but most of our customers are able to use it without a numbing cream. From my experience, the most painful area of the body and face is the area above the lip.  I have to use a numbing cream when I roll that area with long needles. If needling your scar is too painful, use a numbing cream or ice. However, needling is less painful than dermarolling since in dermarolling many needles are in the skin at the same time whereas in single needling, only one needle is inside the skin. Dr. Fernandez also often rolls with a dermaroller that has 3 mm long needles. That most certainly requires a numbing cream or preferably a local anesthetic, as he prefers.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Dermarolling with 1.5mm and 0.5 inbetween
« on: October 08, 2011, 01:05:00 PM »
>If you do roll with a 1.5 for wrinkles, and wait 5 days to use the .5 needles, how long before you use the 1.5 again?

You should roll the same skin area once every three weeks with a 1.5 mm and in between you can roll twice a week with a 0.5 mm. If your skin is very thick, you can roll more frequently.

  >Can you please explain the healing process, and the need for waiting to roll? Personally I have a tendency to be obsessive and impatient, so I really need guidance here. I want the process to work for me, so your insight is really appreciated.

  >Also, does the derma rolling cause dryness? I have been experiencing major dryness since starting, yet there are other factors that could be causing it.

Yes, initially while the skin is being renewed after dermarolling, it is dryer than normal.

  >I know everyone is unique in the healing process, and there are skin and lifestyle issues to consider, but how long should I give the process, before I see results? I am very close to juvederm injections, but do not want to go there. I want to regenerate my skin instead.

Juvederm injections last only temporarily. If you manage to improve your wrinkles by increasing your own collagen, it will last really long.  However, the skin will continue aging of course.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / acne after dermarolling
« on: October 08, 2011, 12:49:42 PM »
The A-Ret gel (we sell it) contains Tretinoin. It speeds up the turnover of the skin. In young people it helps controlling acne, in older individuals it helps reversing sun damage. It is routinely used for acne.

Sweat is dirty (it comes from deep inside the pores) but there is no risk of infection from your own sweat.  You can do sports involving sweat right after dermarolling. Just keep the dermarolled area moisturized.

The reason why you can't get infected any more a few hours after dermarolling is that the skin already is "closed" (coagulated blood) and your immune system is more than capable to handle the bacteria from your own body, if they were to enter such a very superficial injury.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / acne after dermarolling
« on: October 06, 2011, 01:41:45 PM »
Has there recently been a change in your hormonal levels, such as starting or quitting taking contraception or other hormonal pills? You should try to use the A-Ret gel. It usually keeps acne under control.

1365
Yes, Infadolan would be beneficial and it will keep the area moisturized.

Your first Infadolan tube is OK but do not use the first half centimeter of it.

You can close it with a piece of aluminum foil.

  The second tube is OK.

Infadolan is oil-based so it is not permeable to air, that is why the Infadolan itself acts as protection for the rest - as with Aluminum oxide forming a protective layer over Aluminum.
