Strawberry short nose...
« on: May 15, 2013, 05:49:53 PM »
I really want to try out derma rolling and derma stamping. I bought a lot of products like vitamin c and tretonin cream. I got a 2.0mm derma stamp and a 1.5mm derma roller. I tried it already on my cheeks and forehead. Any have good results with that? I got so many tiny holes on my cheek it's gross up close. My nose is a problem though.

My nose... I don't know if it it's black heads or ice pick scars (filled with black heads). It's really unappealing. I want to get rid of it. Is derma needling the best way to do this? Or do you have any other advice? Thanks.

What skin condition are you trying to improve on you cheeks and forehead?

Do not use dermarolling on your nose. Most likely you have just enlarged pores and dermarolling does not help with that.  For blackheads, try this:

I am trying to get rid of ice pick scars on my nose, cheeks, and forehead. Do you think this is a feasible treatment for my condition? I will try attaching a picture.

I am sorry for the delayed answer.

It is difficult to judge your nose from the photo, but it seems they are just pores or enlarged pores. As you can read in our instructions, nose skin can heal unpredictably and any procedure on the nose skin (laser, deep peels, dermarolling etc.) can end up unpredictably:

https://http://dermaroller.owndoc.com/dermaroller-instructions.pdf

We have a few customers who reported improvement of scars on the nose after stamping but if the scars are not too bad or they are just pores, I think it is not worth risking bad healing.

Concerning the cheeks and the forehead: I think in your case a 2 mm dermastamp is overkill, especially because your cheeks seem to have just pores and a few scars but not standard deep icepick acne scars. First try your dermastamp several times on the same small area of the cheeks to see how the pores and scars react to it.
