Dermaneedling stretchmarks - what exactly do I need?
« on: July 08, 2012, 04:27:49 PM »
I have in my cart to purchase

1.5 one line roller

2 mm dermastamp

Infadalon ointment

vit. c serum

disintectant

Most stretchmarks are shallow and white/silverish in color on breasts and tops of thighs.
Few stretchmarks on breast slightly deeper.  Most are very tiny lines.

Is there anything else your would recommend or add to cart to have better results or better appearance?

Any suggestions?  I am first time user and new at this.  I have tried lasers in the past and of course topical
cremes to no avail.

The most effective for stretch marks is the combination of a regular 1.5 mm dermaroller + the single needles or a dermastamp or a one-liner  (we are currently sold out of single needles) + Tretinoin cream:

Thanks so much for your help and reply.

Now I do also have a tummy tuck scar on my tummy that tends to have widened on sides from an infection at time of healing.
This scar is 2 yrs old.

Can I use the same on this scar?

How painful is this going to be?  Is there a something to compare to.  I have had IPLs on face and fraxel laser.  I am a little
bit apprehensive of this part only.
sorry to sound like a big baby. :-\

You can definitely use it on your surgical scar.

Fraxel is very painful because it evaporates tiny columns of skin so if you could handle that, you can handle anything..

A dermastamp is less painful than a dermaroller. We talk about it here:

Sarah,
Is the EMLA the only numbing product you have?  Is there anything stronger than we might order or get?
My worry is the size of the tube is great for a face but when using on other areas this tube is kinda small
and plus on thighs and breasts this product might not offer enough numbing.

Any ideas?

(We've sold out of EMLA at the moment.) To my knowledge, there exists no other consumer product that numbs as well as EMLA. We're trying to import an alternative product but it certainly won't numb any better than EMLA.

Can you give me any idea at the amount of coverage from one tube to exact?  I know that you cannot
with any degree of accuracy state because how lavishly a person might use the cream.

My marks are only at the very tops of my thighs and on my breasts.  Would a tube tend to last quite
awhile and how thick would you need to apply this cream to get significant numbing?  How long might
you anticipate one tube to last?

Sorry for the delayed answer.

The longer you leave it on the stronger the numbing will be.

The usual dose is 1.5 g to 2 g of cream for an area of 10 cm², applied for 2 to 5 hours under a dressing (food wrap foil).

If you apply less and for a shorter time, it will also numb, but less.

Do not apply any numbing cream on extensive skin areas during one session.
You can apply it every day but do not apply it on really large areas in one go.
