A-Ret cream 0.05% base cream
« on: December 29, 2012, 10:58:25 PM »
Hi,

For the A-Ret cream 0.05% from your website, is a "oily-base cream" or "water-base cream"?
i just purchase a A-Ret cream 0.025% from you, that is a water-base cream best for those with Normal-Oily prone skin.
I looking for a oily-base cream tht contain tretinoina which suit more for those with Normal-Dry prone skin. ;)

You can solve this very easily. Just add for example a little of some cold pressed oil to our 0.025 % Tretinoin jar and mix it in (mixing may take some time but it should not be too difficult). Tretinoin is fat soluble so it "loves" oily and fatty substances.

The 0.05% Tretinoin cream contains:

Active ingredient: Tretinoin 0.05 %
Other ingredients: Decyl oleate, isopropyl myristrate, glyceryl monostearate, acetyl lanolin alcohol, ceteareth-30, cetyl alcohol, proline, monostearate of polyethylene glycol 400, urea, collagen, methylparaben, propylparaben, lactic acid, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, vitamin E, aroma and purified water.

Hi sarah, so for A-Ret cream 0.05% from your store, do we need to mix the cold pressed oil into it... Sorry i not really good on ingredient. Or for A-Ret cream 0.05% itself already a oil-base cream.. ;)

The 0.05 % in our store is fattier than the 0,025% but Tretinoin which is the active ingredient in all A-Ret creams causes drying of the skin (especially initially).
The more Tretinoin it contains, the more "drying" the cream is. Adding or not adding oil should be individual; depending on how prone you are to acne, how dry your skin is etc.

Sarah, what is the purpose of pre treating our skin with retin a cream before rolling or stamping? Are we doing that to open our skin up or what?

No, it does not open the skin. It is done to create ideal conditions in the skin for collagen production. Dermarolling works even if you do not pretreat the skin but it is an additional help to have ideal conditions for dermarolling.
