Title: Could I possibly push too hard when using numbing cream?
Post by: caroleh on February 24, 2013, 07:27:45 AM
I have been using the rollers fro a few months now without using the numbing cream. I have decided to now use the numbing cream with the 1mm roller and the single 1.5mm roller. I am a bit concerned about possibly pressing down too hard because I will be a bit numb!  Any advice in rolling using the numbing cream?
Thanks.

Over-the-counter numbing creams contain a too low percentage of Lidocaine to completely numb the skin. It only reduces the pain so you will still feel some pain and the pressure anyway. (Higher percentages numbing substances can only be obtained and administered by licensed medical staff.)

In any case, there is no danger in pressing down too hard. The needles cannot penetrate any deeper than their actual length.
