Title: Nose Blackheads
Post by: Cedrick on March 24, 2013, 10:15:56 PM
 Hello Sarah,

I have read your warnings concerning micro-needling for the nose. I'm interested in taking a cautious approach by stamping one side of my nose with 0.5mm. It's basically the same problem as this individual here: http://forums.owndoc.com/dermarolling-microneedling/need-some-advice-please-on-scarredenlarged-nose-pores/msg2883/#msg2883. I'm not sure if that's a problem of ice pick scars, wide pores, and/or blackheads. I'm pretty sure I have recurring blackheads in these openings. I'm going to try your blackhead removal option, but I'm also wondering if derma-needling can be helpful to rid these blackheads in the process?

For blackheads, try this:

…or at least apply regularly salicylic acid.

Tretinoin cream (we sell it) also helps unclog pores.

Dermaneedling speeds up the turnover of the skin and thus keeps the pores unclogged but as you mentioned, stamping the nose skin can end up unpredictably and you should first try the other options.
