I am very keen to get started on this and you kindly recommended a 1m for my pores and slight acne scarring + lines.  The only thing I am worried about is wearing make up - I can't really go without it, although due to mega oily skin I only wear power and a little concealer.  Is there any way I could wear make up if I rolled on friday night, could I wear make up Sat night?

If you rolled with 1.5 mm, I would recommend waiting until Sunday. With 1 mm long needles you can apply makeup on Saturday night, provided your powder and concealer are not too old. If they are very old: Buy new, such as to avoid bacterial contamination of the open skin.
