Title: Acne and Dermarolling
Post by: Mlight on July 20, 2011, 06:12:35 PM
I had a terrible, cystic acne spot. It seems mostly healed, but there is still a bump under the skin, and it feels unresolved. It is a place where I have broken out in the past, it feels like there is something "stuck" there that makes it occasionally return during my period when I am susceptible to these horrible cysts. It is safe to dermaroll that spot (I am thinking to use the 1.5 cm roller)? Of course I want this area to be resolved (and there is scarring in the area), and I am hoping that the rolling will clear this area up. But I don't want to cause something worse by messing with it. Any thoughts? Thank you

You can use a 1.5 mm dermaroller but if your goal is to treat that particular spot only, then a 1.5 mm dermastamp would target it better. That bump may be scar tissue.
