Title: Inflammation after microneedling
Post by: mei on March 16, 2012, 05:19:00 AM
Hello, I would like to seek advice about my inflammation on both cheeks. I've done my 1st time derma roller 1.5mm 3 weeks ago with a qualified nurse, and seemed recovering well. However, just 4 days ago, my face suddenly felt itchy, tingy and turned pink and puffy. I visited a GP and was prescribed Metrogel and was instructed to put it on my cheeks twice a day.  However in the rest of the time, I still suffer from itchy and feeling hot.

Is this sudden inflammation caused by the rolling?

Is inflammation going to be widespreading on the entire face during my healing process?

If once cured, am I still suitable to have my second rolling ?

Thank you very much and looking forward to your advice.

I really don't think you can get such a reaction three weeks post-rolling..

Inflammation after dermarolling does not last long:

Getting an infection three weeks after dermarolling that was healing OK also doesn't seem plausible at all.

  Have you used A-Ret ?

Could it be an allergic reacting to something?  Have you applied a new cream, sunscreen, cleanser or anything?

  What did the doctor say?

Have you had this type of reaction before?
