Hello,

I stumbled across this forum and found it to have a plentiful amount of information on scar improvement. I would like some advice please on enlarged/scarred pores on my nose. From my understanding, the nose is much difficult to treat since it is mostly collagen and the vascularity is located deeper as compared to other skin areas.

Could someone please advise me on the what they think may be the best treatment for my situation (see attached photo). Right now I'm considering needling with with a 1.0mm or 1.5mm stamp or self saline injections.

Scars on the nose are very unpredictable.

I was just reading that post actually.

I'm thinking about needling one scar at a time with a single needle (~30 gauge or higher) on the nose to see how the healing is. I have read a few success stories on the internet about saline injections into nose scars and seeing about 75% improvement, and I'm curious if that is the better way to go about reducing nose scar appearance.

My profession is requires a good amount of dexterity, so I feel confident that I could do the saline injections well.

Edit: I would probably use the single needles that you sell: http://shop.owndoc.com/p-172/singleneedles.html  . Beveled needles would probably have a less than ideal path of insertion, as they tend to deflect.

    I have not heard from anybody using the saline injections for the nose.

 

Whatever you do, try it always on one scar only to see how the skin on your nose reacts to it and even if it reacts well, never do your whole nose in one session because it could still end up badly.
