Title: Slightly Indented scar on my nose tip
Post by: helpmynosetip on May 18, 2012, 10:08:48 AM
Hi,

5 months ago I accidentally scratched my nose tip when I was removing blackhead from my nose. After that, the scab formed and fell off. Then I found that the area which is pink and is slightly pink. The area is about 0.5 cm x 0.3cm.

In addition, I noticed that the area becomes bloody red after taking shower or when I feel very hot. After 10 - 15 mins, the redness fade. The depth of the area is less than 0.05cm and the texture of the base is rough.

I went to find a dermatologist, he said it is risky to use dermabrasion on this area.

What is your suggestions? Dermastamp?

Skin procedures on the nose are always risky. Nose skin is reacting unpredictably.

You can try a dermastamp but please read this first:

Always try to keep the scabs as long as possible. Never forcibly remove them because a prematurely removed scab can end up as a scar. Keep the scab very much moisturized, it will keep them longer in place. I know you did not remove the scab forcibly, I am just explaining what to avoid.

For blackheads, try this:
