Title: dermarolling for thinning hair question that hasn't been answered. :)
Post by: curious07 on May 19, 2012, 10:22:40 AM
Hi Sarah,,

From reading the other posts on this topic i understand that a .05 or less dermaroller is most desireable for thinning hair as it won't penetrate as deeply into the skin on the scalp and thus chance damaging follicles,, but i was wondering if i can still use my 1.5 dermaroller (which i recently purchased for a few scars on my scalp) and just use "very Light pressure" for thinning hair areas  or would it still pose the same risk. I have been doing so very lightly and hope it's ok and still effective..

thank you kindly,, :)

I normally recommend a 0.5 mm dermaroller (not a 0.05 mm).

Yes, you can use the 1.5 mm lightly.
