Title: Replacement for single needles
Post by: thistimeonly on August 07, 2012, 12:18:21 PM
Hi Sarah

I understand you are out of single needles so I was wondering if there is any replacement product I can use? Can I sterile the thin sewing needling and prick my stretchmarks wiith it? I am not seeing much progress with just a roller and it has been 4 months so should I just continue rolling or add something new?

Another idea I wanted to run by you Sarah.

I dermarolled with a 2 mm on the 24th of July so my next session is on the 24th of August. Do you think inbetween this time, I should stamp each stretchmark individually?

Thanks

You can replace the single needle with a 1.5 mm dermastamp. A sewing needle is totally unsuitable for microneedling the skin. Applying Tretinoin cream (we sell it) right after stamping is also helpful in case of stretch marks, surgical scars and other scars with hardened collagen.

The link to the studies with Tretinoin is here:

Yes, you should stamp each stretchmark individually in between the rolling sessions. You can stamp every day but stamp each stretch mark only once in between your rolling sessions.

Only once? I thought we have to stamp the scar at least 6 to 8 times? Or do you mean do it all in one day ?

Treat each stretchmark only once in between rolling sessions.

it is okay to stamp the same area of the stretchmark 6 to 8 times though if it is all done in one session, yes or no?

Sorry I am just a bit confused

Yes, as you already indicated, that is OK.
