Title: Dema Rolling and Facial Hair
Post by: Ryno on August 22, 2012, 09:15:22 AM
Hello, I have recently purchased a 1.5mm Derma Roller from yourselves and would like to know if this length of needle can cause any damage/ have a negative effect on facial hair follicles?

Kind regards

Ryan

No, a dermaroller will not damage your facial hair follicles.

I warned against rolling the scalp with this size because the hair follicles on the scalp are not very deep and in the process of getting bold, the follicles are weak and vulnerable so long needles could theoretically damage it but in practice, it likely doesn’t. Short needles bring blood to the scalp follicles and promote their growth and in my opinion, they are safer to use in this area.

On the face, any size roller or dermastamp can be used and you do not have to worry about the follicles.
