Just wondering if the copper peptide serum you sell is hydrating enough on its own in your opinion, or if a moisturizer is necessary afterwards?

At the moment I'm just using cleanser, then the CP serum, then witch hazel and tea tree oil moisturizer about 30 minutes later, but I'd like to be able to ditch the latter if possible, but I don't want my skin to dry out! Just concerned that I may be putting too much stuff on my skin....

Thanks for your time. I am also experiencing initial promising results with your copper peptide serum daily use after extremely aggressive needling on bad pit scars on the nose versus needling alone which I did several months ago to zero improvement, so I'm excited about the whole thing!

I have read a lot about aha and bha products interfering with 1st gen CP products, but can't find any clear info on how long I should wait after! Is using a mandelic acid toner, then CP serum afterwards, counter productive for example? should I ditch the toner and just go cleanser, CP serum in the AM?

What I'm doing is:

AM - Cleanser, mandelic toner, CP serum

PM - cleanser, salicylic acid (30 mins later) either Vit C or Glycolic moisturiser.

Do you think this works OK? Should I use moisturiser after the CP in the morning, or is the serum hydrating enough on its own? Is there any way you would change or re-order this general routine? thanks Sarah :)

Needled one of my nose pits as a test the other night, did a 40% glycolic peel, then needled directly after with the single need, then used the 1mm stamp in the pit area, and applied CP serum afterwards. Will see how that goes.

Hi there,

Firstly, I have to say that reading the discussion on 2nd Gen Copper Peptides was a fascinating read, I had a large bottle of SuperCP Serum and several containers of SuperCop2x, but never felt comfortable entirely using them due to the persistent claims online that these 2nd Gen Peptides were actually damaging and dis-improving skin in certain individuals. So it actually brought me a bit of relief to just pour it all down the sink the other day, and go about purchasing a few genuine Copper Peptides here (a few face masks and 2 serums).

Now, my question is how to incorporate this into my current regime? What I'm currently doing is AM - Cleanser, Mandelic Toner, Witch Hazel Moisturiser. PM - Cleanse, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Moisturiser or Vit C 30 minutes later. Where would the copper Peptide serum fit in here? I'm assuming AM, because of the Salicylic in the PM, but where would it fit in the AM? Should I be taking stuff out of my regime in favor of the copper peptides? The only thing I'm really sure of is to not use Vit C and CP's together, but I think maybe I could drop the Vit C from my routine for now when using the CP's. Long term, Vit C would be part of my regime, but I only really plan using CP's until I can ascertain whether or not they can help me with scarring. Whether they do or don't, whenever I reach a conclusion I'll probably switch back to Vit. C.

I'll be needling scarring on the side of the nose - two badly indented scars - I know it's not an area on which you give advice aside from caution, but I have needled there aggressively once now with a single needle , and there's been absolutely no dis-improvement or improvement, so I'm hoping by introducing a few Peptides I may get somewhere. Single Needle the scars, stamp area with a 1mm stamp, then apply CP mask and use the serum daily thereafter.

Thanks in advance.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Needling and AHA/BHA

How long after needling is it safe to use 5% Salicylic acid? I'm finding it hard to find specific information, apologies if it's been posted before which I'm sure it has.

I'm just mildly afraid of damaging scab formation or healing skin, but I'm so horribly prone to blackheads that even a week without using the 5% will have my nose covered....

Also using 30-50% Glycolic peel, when is the best time to needle - before, or after? I've read that it's OK to apply copper peptides after a peel, so I was thinking maybe if I did the 30% peel, then needled, and applied a few drops of supercop serum to the area. Since the downtime from superficial glycolic peels is minimal, I figured it would be OK, but I could only find info on needling and more advanced peels like TCA.

Thanks for that, can't ask for more! I just bought a .5mm stamp for your store there, I'll let you know how it goes, for better or worse. Or, more hopefully, for better or indifference. Thanks again.

Firstly, thanks for the reply.

I should really clarify - this isn't general pore size, it's actually pores that have become enlarged through excessive picking at my skin and squeezing. A few years ago I had flawless, poreless skin, now though, after going though a really bad phase (about a year) of picking at perceived imperfections, a large number of pores are very....crater looking, to be honest.  Now, mine are not this bad, but this image is an example of the types of scarred pores - it's these I'm looking to hopefully begin attempting to reverse! I was thinking maybe of just stamping the craters....or perhaps use a single needle. If all my pores were just genetically large I'd be OK with that, but this is more of a self inflicted damage thing!

Thanks again for the response.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Correct needle size for use on face?

I've seen quite a bit of conflicting information about needle size to be used on the face - I originally purchased a 0.5mm roller, which I've used twice. I've read that 0.5mm is only for product penetration and can be used weekly, yet both times I've used it, my skin has gone through pretty aggressive healing stages with a lot of peeling - definitely not something I'd be doing weekly! What would you recommend? My story is as follows: I have pretty good skin, except on my nose I have one or two very bad enlarged/scarred pores. I also have quite a lot of scarred/enlarged pores in general (only on my nose), but 90% of them aren't really visible unless you're standing quite close to me. I have about 3 though, that are quite obvious and large, on the side of my nose. The texture of my nose is also fairly rough under certain lighting. This is probably from over zealous squeezing in younger years. So I'm hoping to correct these problems! What would you recommend? I'm thinking something like the 0.5mm all over my nose to help with the rough texture, with a stamp to spot treat the very bad, deep pore scars - but I'm unsure as to what size would be best for this? I'm also using copper peptides, but it seems logical that they aren't going to really help a huge amount without first breaking down the scars.

Thanks in advance!
