Yes, you can use a dermastamp anywhere, except on the eyelids - just like the dermaroller.

If you stamp around the eyes with a long-needled dermastamp, do not push the needles fully in because the skin around the eyes is thin and you could end up with bruises.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Treatment after Needling

You do not have to worry about dangerous bacteria in tap water in modern societies. If you can drink it, you can certainly use it to wash the needled area.

It won't be necessary, but if it makes you feel safer, boil the tap water first, let it cool and then use it. There is no need to let it boil for longer than a second.

1. To improve stretch marks, you have to reach the dermis. Stretch marks are deep.

Skin lotions are not going to improve stretch marks, unfortunately. If you use almost no pressure, you can use a 1.5 mm for skin care products absorption but you should wash and disinfect the roller so that it is not full of skin residues and bacteria from when you roll deeply every three weeks.

2. The hyperpigmentation is only temporary, however it can take long time to disappear in some cases:

  https://http://forums.owndoc.com/dermarolling-microneedling/Hyper-pigmentation-after-dermarolling-using-1-5mm-dermastamp

Rolling aggressively once a week with a 1.5 mm roller is way too frequently.

Give your skin a rest before you restart rolling.

3. For the best results, dermarolling of stretch marks with a regular dermaroller should be combined with the intensive methods: Single needling or/and the one liner dermaroller. The fewer the needles a dermaroller has, the deeper they penetrate. A 1.5 mm one liner penetrates deeper than a regular 1.5 mm dermaroller.

The best method is described here. Use either a one liner dermaroller or the single needles:

Why Tretinoin cream (we sell it):

Dermarolling / Microneedling / copper peptide mask

Very nice to hear. Thank you! Such praise keeps me going! Dermarolling works, but not with everybody. Which can be frustrating. However, nearly no generally successful method works in 100% of cases.

You can apply emu oil right after the Retin A but you should let the vit. C and copper peptides fully penetrate the skin before you apply the emu oil or apply the emu oil in the morning.

In the morning, apply only a moisturizer and/or sunscreen. If your skin can handle oils, wet a cotton pad with a little tap water, pour a few drops of almond oil or emu oil etc. on it and clean/moisturize your face.

Just use a cleanser that you like. Everyone likes something different.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / ACNE SCARS

>1. My skin is thick and fat. It is strong and resilient. Do you think that

>in that case would be better than 2 mm dermastamp?

Your scars do not seem to be very deep. A 1.5 mm dermastamp is sufficient.

  >2. Do you think that my scars are Icepicks or boxcar?

Boxcar. Not very deep and not many.

  >3. The worst is the chin. You said it's harder on the chin. And that's

>because it hurts more. But I can get as good results as in the cheeks?

In general, scars on the cheeks respond the best to dermarolling. Scars on the chin are harder to improve but it is certainly possible.

  >4. When dermastamp arrive?

Both the 1.5 mm and 2 mm dermastamps are on their way. I am really sorry for the inconvenience that we are still sold out.

  >5. Are the individual needles reach deeper than the dermastamp? I had thought

>of buying them for deeper scars, along with everything else.

Good idea. The needles are about 2 mm long and will penetrate deeper than a dermastamp, yes.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Red marks

Peculiar that you still have post-acne marks 15 years later.. They should have gone a long time ago.

A 1 mm roller can reach the dermis quite deeply. Roll every 10-14 days for six months. If you get no results, contact me.

Maybe you can try hydroquinone. It reduces the melanin pigment that usually is present in excessive levels in pigmentations.

Tretinoin cream is also helpful against pigmentations.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Ulthera and dermarolling
« on: February 26, 2012, 12:04:32 PM »
The type of a dermaroller depends on what you intend to improve.

Ulthera uses ultrasound to heat up the skin to a depth of about 4.5 mm. When the skin has healed, you can start with dermarolling.

Your skin seems to be in very good condition and has no problems apart from the scars.

This routine is targeted to acne scars.

.5mm dermaroller - roll twice or three times a week.

1.5mm dermastamp - stamp densely every three weeks.

TriReduction Copper Peptides by Skin biology -
you can apply it after rolling with a 0.5 mm roller, however first start applying it without dermarolling. The skin has to get used to it. Do not apply it on the same days as vit. C.

Glycolic 70% Acid Peel – it exfoliates the skin. Dermarolling with a 0.5 mm roller is more than enough to exfoliate. Using the A-Ret is also more than enough. Using yet another exfoliation is excessive.

Skin Eraser Cream (30% Glycolic + Lactic + Ascorbic + Other Ingredients) by ZenMed – the same as above.

100% Emu Oil - if your skin likes Emu Oil, apply a little after rolling with a 0.5 mm dermaroller but let other substances/creams penetrate the skin first (in case you use any).

Hyaluronic Acid - you can apply it after dermarolling with a 0.5 mm roller. It is not going to improve scars though. You seem to be young; you have enough of your own hyaluronic acid.

Vitamin C Powder and bottle to make you own serum – apply for three consecutive days prior to stamping. For the rest, apply twice or three times a week. Once a week you can apply it right after rolling with a 0.5 mm but only if it doesn’t irritate your skin too much.

Infadolan - apply a little after using a 1.5 mm dermastamp. If it doesn’t make you break out, apply a little for several more days after stamping.

Retin-A  0.05% Cream – in your case, apply only twice a week. Apply without dermarolling.

Clean & Clear 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser (5% Benzoyl Peroxide) - apply only if you have acne. Apply without dermarolling. Do not apply two days after stamping.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer (2% Salicylic Acid) - apply if you have acne or blackheads/whiteheads. Apply without dermarolling.

To make it easy and doable for you, apply Copper peptides twice a week, vit. C twice a week and Tretinoin twice a week.

BTW, you may be interested in the method of "hair replication":

I hope you are not angry with me or offended, When I saw the nice shape of your head I just thought this method would look really good on you.

This highly talented tattoo artist specializes in creating a very realistic "recently shaven head" look. (The technical term is "hair replication"). I have nothing to do with them, I do not know them. I think it looks good.

For anybody interested: Do not have this done by just anybody. It can end up looking terrible if they are inexperienced in making the dots look natural or use unsuitable ink and/or methods.

Tyrosine is for sale in tablets as a supplement. Many foods contain tyrosine. It is widely taken by body builders. Tyrosine is the precursor to the melanin pigment.

  From the link you posted:

"I have had some success with repigmentation, regardless of the prior cause of the pigment loss, using a combination of medical microneedling followed immediately by the application of tyrosine solution."

  Piperine is also for sale:

  Abstract:

During a herbal screening programme to find potential repigmenting agents for the treatment of vitiligo, Piper nigrum L. fruit (black pepper) extract was found to possess growth-stimulatory activity towards cultured melanocytes. Its aqueous extract at 0.1 mg/ml was observed to cause nearly 300 % stimulation of the growth of a cultured mouse melanocyte line, melan-a, in 8 days (p < 0.01). Piperine (1-piperoylpiperidine), the main alkaloid from Piper nigrum fruit, also significantly stimulated melan-a cell growth. Both Piper nigrum extract and piperine induced morphological alterations in melan-a cells, with more and longer dendrites observed. The augmentation of growth by piperine was effectively inhibited by RO-31-8220, a selective protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor, suggesting that PKC signalling is involved in its activity. This is the first full report on such an activity of black pepper and piperine.

Or try bimatoprost – as I suggested in posting #6.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Tanning and derma rolling
« on: February 25, 2012, 10:59:26 AM »
You should avoid sun exposure until the skin heals from dermarolling. If you roll the face, apply a high factor sunscreen. If you roll your body, wear protective clothes.

Apart from other things, sunshine damages skin collagen and you should certainly avoid excessive sun exposure, whether you are dermarolling or not.

Concerning hypopigmented skin or scars (such as white stretch marks) some sun exposure is necessary.

  From our dermarolling instructions:

"In case of white scars or stretch marks, when you will have pricked all

your scars at least twice and they have healed, you can gradually expose the

scars to the sun. If you're lucky, they might get a bit tanned due to newly

formed melanocytes and revascularisation induced by needling."

From our forum:

"Melanocytes only produce Melanin upon sun exposure. If you want to

re-pigment hypopigmentation, you must expose it repeatedly to the sun after

dermarolling - not immediately after but several days after. You do not have

to bake yourself for hours. Nevertheless, some sun exposure is absolutely

  necessary."

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Lifting the dermaroller
« on: February 25, 2012, 10:53:59 AM »
Well, if you keep changing directions (like a spirograph) then lifting won't be necessary. It's just that going in the exact opposite direction is not recommended without lifting first.

But constantly changing direction may cause tearing so how we recommend it in the instructions is probably the best way.

Especially for the longer needle lengths, yes.

But it's not the end of the world if you haven't done that. It's just that we think that it's better to do it that way.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Lifting the dermaroller

Yes, to avoid that you'll roll almost in the exact same prick channels - which would create thousands of micro-cuts instead of micro-holes, you lift the roller after the end of each forward movement and put it down again.

Because the roller and the skin is like a train on a track.

At all times, during a rolling movement, are several needles in the skin, meaning the roller is tightly anchored to the skin, quite accurately following a "track".

You can try it on a piece of paper on top of a camping mat.

You'll see that you'll almost exactly re-do the same pricks when you don't lift the roller after a rolling movement and move the roller back where it came from.

If you lift and reposition after each roll, the holes will be much more evenly spread and the risk of creating larger holes than would be optimal for the skin is greatly diminished.

I think we are the only ones with this advice, but I really think this is the preferrable method, albeit a bit cumbersome.

Then again, you won't be rolling very often with long needles - better do it the absolute best way.
