It's not easy to lose weight, I'm sure you can confirm.. I am planning to write an article about the challenges. Do you mind to share how you managed?
I think you should start with a 1.5 mm dermaroller. It will take many months before you will see improvement. Roll densely. A dermaroller will eventually get blunt and you can always buy a 2 mm roller next time. By that time you will know how much pinpoint bleeding you get with the 1.5 mm, how can you bear the pain, whether you get results. A 1.5 mm dermaroller penetrates about 1.3 mm into the skin and this certainly reaches the dermis part of the skin, which is your target. You should also exercise a lot to tone the muscles of your stomach. It helps.

Concerning the A-Ret: The more is not the better. Too frequent application or too much applied Retinoic acid will dry and irritate the skin. Give your skin some rest. It can take about ten days for the marks to disappear.

Yes, the skin is considered "open" after dermarolling. Normally, skin is almost impenetrable. Dermarolling makes skin temporarily penetrable and this greatly enhances the penetration of applied products.
I do not think Tee Tree Oil is dangerous to apply after dermarolling, but it would likely interfere with the collagen regeneration process. It has some antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties but the main ingredient – terpene may irritate the skin in some individuals when highly concentrated. The same applies to all concentrated essential (etheric) oils. It is wise to dilute it if used on open skin or the mucous membranes.

You can use the cream of your choice instead of copper peptides and accommodate the routine to your needs and your chosen skin products.

Yes. Stamp the acne scars only and then use a dermaroller all over the area. But using just a dermastamp without a dermaroller will do, for your acne scars.

No, because none of the ingredients in Infadoan is a strong anti-inflammatory. Vit. D has a mild anti-inflammatory effect in high dosages. Vit. D is present in your skin anyway, unless you are vit. D deficient.
Vit. D is produced (about 15 000 IU in 15 minutes) in the epidermis upon sun exposure and is very important for many bodily functions.

Contractubex is indicated for hypertrophic and keloid scars. It contains allantoin, heparin sodium and onion extract.
Allantoin (an anti-inflammatory), softens keratin (keratin is a protein that makes skin and nails tough) and has soothing effects.
Heparin is an anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory and it has an inhibitory effect on fibroblast proliferation.
Onion extract is an anti-inflammatory and has an inhibitory effect on fibroblast proliferation. Fibroblasts are cells that synthesize collagen and build the the extracellular matrix.
In some studies onion extract showed efficacy and in others it did not (as in this one below):
Onion Extract Gel Versus Petrolatum Emollient on New Surgical Scars: a Prospective Double-Blinded Study
BACKGROUND:
Cutaneous scars resulting from surgical procedures can be erythematous, hypertrophic, pruritic, painful, or cosmetically unacceptable. An onion extract-based topical gel (Mederma, Merz Pharmaceuticals, Greensboro, NC, USA) has been marketed as a product to improve scar appearance and texture. However, few data are available to substantiate these claims.
CONCLUSION:
Petrolatum-based topical agents constitute standard therapy in the management of postoperative wounds. In this side-by-side, randomized, double-blinded, split-scar study, the onion extract gel did not improve scar cosmesis or symptomatology when compared with a petrolatum-based ointment.
I think Contractubex is worth trying on hypertrophic scars, applied directly after needling.
Its main indication is to prevent the formation of hypertrophic post-surgery scars and to promote the formation of normal post-surgery scars.

You can use it but do not apply it immediately after dermarolling with long needles (longer than 0.3 mm). Tea Tree Oil is a strong anti-inflammatory and short controlled inflammation induced by a dermaroller is necessary to trigger repair processes in the skin. You can use the day after.

Yes, apply the A-Ret right after stamping (it will probably sting) and keep reapplying it every second or third day.

Dr. Fernandez is just being extremely cautious. There is no evidence to suggest that remnants of iodine on the skin impair the collagen regeneration process - on the contrary, many practitioners use it in a clinical setting and they publish papers with long-term results, they have impressive before-and-after pictures on their sites etc. It's just that Dr. Fernandez prefers alcohol because it evaporates before rolling. He doesn't like the idea of any chemicals being rolled into the skin, however minute amounts, because it is unknown how they will influence the collagen regeneration process.
I think Betadine is perfectly fine to use, I just mentioned what Dr. Fernandez emailed me about his cautious attitude to anything that can leave traces on the skin before rolling.
The dermaroller should be cleaned with an appropriate alcohol solution as described in our instructions, or Chloramine-T. Betadine would make a mess and tincture of Iodine (Iodine in alcohol) would perhaps affect the needles.
About the "cell poison": Please realize that Oxygen also is a cell poison, and that breathing pure Oxygen for more than a few hours causes permanent brain damage. I mean to say that this word was used in a very scientific sense of the word, so don't think it will somehow "poison" your skin. Dr. Fernandez only postulated that there was a non-zero chance that the collagen regeneration process would have a less-than-100% optimal course, if he would roll in elemental Iodine into open skin. That's all.

It is the same woman (the same scat on the nose and the same moles on the cheek) but the photos are manipulated. The top photo is highly contrast-enhanced and dark, while the lower photo is smoothed and lightened.
