Dermarolling / Microneedling / How much Bruising with Suction Method?
« on: January 09, 2013, 10:44:14 PM »
A 2.0mm gives redness for about 5 days. I can do it on Sunday and be OK to go out by the next weekend.

Saline injections don't seem to have much downtime at all.

I want to add suctioning, but the bruising concerns me. It could be a lot of downtime. If we use the suction from this site, 4 seconds per area (several passes), what are the chances of bruising? How long does it take to heal from the bruising.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / DermaStamp Vs Single Needle
« on: January 08, 2013, 10:59:34 AM »
My question is what is the point of the dermastamp if I use a single needle manually?

Single Needle Advantages:
- Can control the amount of pricks/cm^2
- Various angles
- More precise (affects less surrounding tissue and less overall redness because of it)

Single Needle Disadvantages:
- More time consuming than a dermastamp
- One needle versus many needles (may dull faster and need many single needles)

This said, the single needle disadvantages only appear to be time and possibly money. If both of those are non factors, why even bother to dermastamp? Clearly a single needle can duplicate the effect of a dermastamp, but in a more accurate manner.
