please advise, boxcar/rolling scars
« on: August 23, 2012, 02:56:22 AM »
i have some boxcar scars and shallow rolling scars on my left cheek. i'm thinking of starting with the 1.0mm dermastamp. i have some important questions.

1) how often will it have to be replaced? i've read that it is actually imperative that home users of skin needling replace it everytime they use the roller/stamp because we don't have the necessary tools to sterilize it correctly. is this true? can i use it more than once?

I recommend to use a 1.5 mm dermastamp for your acne scars. If you have post acne spots/pigmentation, add rolling with a 0.5 mm regular dermaroller.

You certainly do not have to replace it every time. It can be easily disinfected.
How to disinfect is described in our instructions:

Where to get the disinfectant:

We also sell a disinfectant for microneedling instruments (Chloramine-T).

If you have the rolling type of acne scars, add the suction method:

thanks for your reply. i do have some very light pigmentation on my cheeks and forehead, but scars only on my cheeks. how do i use the stamp and the roller together? do i stamp before i use the roller? and how many days after should i use the roller? or do i use it at the same time? i'll look into the subcision method as well.

You can use them both during the same session or you can roll the entire area and some days later (or as soon as you have time) stamp the scars.
