Here I show the areas where you cannot use a dermaroller. My answer is number two:

http://forums.owndoc.com/dermarolling-microneedling/can-i-use-a-dermaroller-on-this-area-under-the-eye-(pic-included)/

A real tear trough is caused by advanced aging - sagging of the cheek and herniation of the fatty padding of the cheek.

In younger individuals, the depression under the eyes is often caused by the arcus marginalis tethering the lower eyelid to the bone.  It has to be

  released by plastic surgery.

Some individuals have genetically very little fat or bone in that area and it results in hollowness under the eyes.

Dermarolling cannot improve any of the above described conditions..

The eyelids have the thinnest skin in the body. Dermarolling can thicken the skin which can slightly improve dark circles under the eyes caused by the color of the muscle underneath the skin that is visible through the thin skin (you cannot use a dermaroller directly under the eyes though).
